The New Zealand Ayrshire Association (Inc), known as Ayrshire New Zealand, is an Incorporated Society representing approx 380 Ayrshire breeders in New Zealand. The offices of Ayrshire New Zealand are located in Hamilton (central North Island) at the site of Livestock Improvement Corporation. The office is staffed Monday to Friday and members and visitors are always welcome to call at the office.
The Association is divided into 9 wards geographically, each ward represented by a Director. The Board of Directors is headed by the President. Ayrshire New Zealand is also the parent body to 16 Ayrshire clubs nationwide. An annual Meeting is held each year in June at varying locations. All members are invited to attend.

Popular voting results are now available for the World Ayrshire Photo Competition
Held at Gore on 4 February 2012 and judged by Association President Brian Hutchings, the South Island Champion cow was named as Broadlea Sparkle, A, a six year old cow owned by Ross Morton of Ingleside Ltd, Wyndham and sired by Lakeside Milky Baron. Reserve Champion was Inglecorner Prev Rosette, V7-7, a three year old owned by Merv Livingstone of CNRAYR Ltd, Riverton and sired by Meadowlands Preview ET.
Junior Champion went to the Instone Family of Gore with their yearling heifer Stoneleigh Ice Cream, and Reserve Junior Champion to Ross Morton of Ingleside Ltd.
The Fredrickson Trophy for Senior Young Handler went to Luke Instone of Gore, with Eamon Dean in second and Amy Livingstone-Green in third place. The Greenlane Trophy for Junior Young Handler went to Emily Instone of Gore.
NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the North Island Championships held on 28 January 2012 at Rotorua, Brookview Lot Laguna owned by Steiner Partnership of Tokoroa was named North Island Ayrshire Champion and Supreme All Breeds Champion. Kiteroa Ayrshires took out the Reserve North Island Championship with Kiteroa Bonny Georgina.
Junior Champion and Reserve both went to the Baxter Family of Tirau with Shardville Particle ET and Shardville Danes Lass respectively.
The Fredrickson Trophy for Senior Young Handler went to Sarah Leech of Tirau, with Jamie Baxter in second and Alicia McPike in third place. The Greenlane Trophy for Junior Young Handler went to Pennymay Symonds Of Te Kuiti with her sister Cherry Symonds in second and Hannah Lawson in third place.
